Laying Hens like to lay their eggs in some kind of a nest and not randomly somewhere on the ground. They usually prefer spots that are darker and provide some sort of shelter or security for the hen. That's why we provide specific nest boxes to our chickens inside their Eggmobile. That gives them a comfortable place to lay and we know where to look for eggs at the end of the day.
